Seiko 6309-309M R

Case and crystal are rough

But the dial is quite nice.

Peseux 330

Bought this as a practice movement. Got it apart and cleaned, but snapped the setting lever spring on reassembly. Oops! It's going on eBay for cheap; hopefully someone can use the parts. Posting photos here in case you got one apart and need to see how it goes together!

Note the overcoil balance spring and goose-neck regulator. Nice!

Unitas 6497

I wanted to try my hand at rebuilding the famous Unitas (ETA) 6497 movement so I found a cheap one in this Tramway pocket watch I had shipped from an ebay seller in Istanbul.

I didn't take pictures of this one because I used this wonderful resource to keep track of my progress. The cleaning, oiling and reassembly went fairly smoothly, but I made a couple mistakes re-casing the movement. Thus the flaked porcelain on the dial and cracked crystal. Ah, more lessons learned!

Enicar AR 980 Disassembly

The first watch I tried to rebuild was what I now know to be a nearly irreparable Timex pin-lever. That effort ended quickly in an explosion of tiny gears. My second try was a 7 jewel Waltham. This went better, but I crushed one of the pinions trying to wrestle the wheel train bridge back on. This Enicar here is my third attempt, and the first on a watch I actually like.

I had already pulled the movement from the case when I started taking pictures.
